Former Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday met the three-member Congress panel in Delhi, formed to look into the Congress feud. After coming from the meeting, Sidhu said that he had conveyed the voice of people to the party high command.
“I came on the invitation of the high command. I came here to appraise the AICC committee about Punjab. I have come to make sure that people’s voices from the grass root level reach a high command. I came to tell the truth,” said Sidhu.
“Power of the People must return to the People !! Every Punjabi must be made shareholder in Punjab’s Progress … Jittega Punjab, Jittegi Punjabiyat, Jittega har Punjabi !! Live from Delhi,” he tweeted.
Citing the sacrilegious incidents involving Guru Granth Sahib, Sidhu on May 20 tweeted, “In 2019, I began & ended my Election Campaign in Punjab seeking – Justice for Sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib Ji & punishing the culprits & the ONE shielding them… Now, Our MLAs & Party Workers must go to Delhi & speak the Truth of Punjab to our High Command, as I regularly do !”
Sidhu quit Amarinder Singh’s Cabinet in July 2019 after he was divested of the local bodies portfolio.
